1] Marriage
Pastor Enoch Adeboye got married to his sweetheart Mrs Folu
Adeboye (nee Adeyokunnu) in 1967. They’ve been married for 48 years now and
their love only seems to be waxing stronger with age. Pastor Enoch refers to
himself as the luckiest man in the world to have a wife such as his.
During one of his sermons, while trying to stress the
importance of carrying your spouse along in marriage, he revealed that he and
his wife have become so much alike that his wife now represents him at events
where he is not available to minister.
Through years of comparing of notes as well as preparing them
together, they’ve become so much in sync that you may never be able to tell the
difference between a sermon prepared by he or his wife.
2] Emmanuel Aviation
Emmanuel Aviation Services Ltd commenced commercial flight
operations in July 2009 but with the acquisition of a second gulfstream jet
worth about $65million in March this year, allegedly by the gentleman preacher,
business couldn’t be not possibly be going better. The airline is registered with
the Cooperate affairs commission of Nigeria with registration no 221221.
3] Fasting Life
According to the pious looking ‘man of God’, he would never
ask his pastors to do anything if he had not first done double the same thing,
whether it be financial sacrifices, fasting, or anything else that would show
total dedication to God.
Daddy GO as he is fondly called by most Nigerian Christians
has told his pastors that the only reason he has not asked them to go on a 40
day fast is because he has not reached his target of 63 as yet. Nevertheless,
he advised them to get ready cos if won’t be long before they have to go on the
exercise.
4] Nigerian Boy Scouts
Leader
A few years ago, while speaking to a gathering of faithfuls
in the holy nation of Israel, the cleric announced that he had just been
appointed as the leader of the Nigerian boys scout to some applause from the
congregation. He was then quoted as saying
“…for those of you who know me very, you would also know that I’m not intrigued by such positions of honor, but who knows, perhaps God has an assignment for me there. Maybe this is a chance for us to set right the foundation of the Nigerian military”
5] Influence
Besides boasting of a reach of over 110 countries in the world
and over 14,000 parishes with over 5million followers in his home nation, Nigeria,
Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God was in 2009 named
among ‘Newsweek’ Magazine’s %50 most powerful men in the world.
During the very first Holy Ghost service in Lagos Nigeria,
the meeting was met with an attendance of over seven million worshippers
without a single casualty. That in itself is a miracle. The very next meeting
saw an even mightier gathering of twelve million and from there on in, it’s
been upward for the well-schooled evangelist.
